Since qualifying as a registered general nurse in 1992, Rachel has gained experience in a variety of specialties including general surgery, gynaecology, urology, orthopaedics, and endoscopy. Rachel started training as a nurse endoscopist in gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy respectively from Jan 2014 after completing the basic skills course in both gastroscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy in 2012. She has completed over 500 cases, and has fully committed to continuing my training and development in this area In November 2018, she joined the BMI Esperance hospital as the lead for endoscopy. Whilst running the endoscopy department, she had the opportunity to learn new skills with procedures like hysteroscopy, vulvectomy, and run her own urodynamic clinic for bladder scans and urinary flow rates and implement changes and improvements to increase better patients experience.
