Nese is a Registered Dietitian with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital and health care industry in the UK. She graduated in BSc (Hons) Dietetics at Plymouth University in 2013 and MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Oxford Brookes University in 2014. Nese specialises in clinical nutrition, weight management, complex obesity and bariatric surgery. She currently works at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in Central London as a senior bariatric specialist dietitian. As a bariatric surgery team member, Nese works with world-class surgeons, physicians and psychologists supporting weight loss surgery patients within the NHS. She works with patients with restrictive and malabsorptive bariatric interventions including; gastric balloon, gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and duodenal switch. Nese’s provides nutritional counseling to pre and post-operative patients to ensure dietary compliance, nutritional adequacy and formulation of individuals weight management goals. She uses her motivational interviewing and behavior change skills to assess and support the patients throughout their weight loss journey. She also closely monitors and tailors each patient’s vitamin and mineral supplementation according to daily requirements, absorption capacity, supplement tolerance, food consumption, and clinical parameters.
